Advisor Collaboration: What’s So Great About Being Postive?
Wednesday, April 4th, 2012
by Bob Simpson, Synchronicity Performance Consulting
We posted a blog – “Let’s Get Positive!” which is the centerpiece for this week’s discussion on Advisor Collaboration. The blog features a video from www.ted.com, which was sent to us by my friend and fellow group member Fabien Ouellette from Ottawa. Please beware, this is a 12-minute investment we are asking you to make but one that has a great ROI. The question for this week is “What did you learn by watching this video?”
At the bottom is the video from www.ted.com featuring Shawn Achor, “the winner of over a dozen distinguished teaching awards at Harvard University, where he delivered lectures on positive psychology in the most popular class at Harvard.
He is the CEO of Good Think Inc., a Cambridge-based consulting firm which researches positive outliers — people who are well above average — to understand where human potential, success and happiness intersect. Based on his research and 12 years of experience at Harvard, he clearly and humorously describes to organizations how to increase happiness and meaning, raise success rates and profitability, and create positive transformations that ripple into more successful cultures. He is also the author of The Happiness Advantage.”
Again, It is a 12-minute video that will definitely lift your spirits and make you laugh, so I would suggest it is a good investment.
Enjoy!
